Without a doubt, I have a niche for finding herringbone blazers in the thrift store. Herringbone blazer? Sorry, was that too specific for you? Just in case you have been hiding under a rock, herringbone blazers have been around for quite some time. Traced all the way back to Egyptian textiles, the herringbone print has a very distinct v-shape pattern that is typically made from wool, hence the fall look. Wool is typically worn during the cooler months. I can’t imagine wearing a wool blazer in ninety degree weather. Anyhoo, I decided to style my herringbone blazer with a simple grey waistcoat, dress shirt, and necktie. Based on the colors, you can see I’m maintaining a cool color palette for the fall. Continuing with this theme, I threw on my favorite skinny jeans and leather zip up loafers. The brown and black add a nice little contrast, don’t they? So, how do you feel about this particular look? #WIWT Color-Block Shirt

Who said color-blocking was just a summer trend? Today, I decided to break out my newly purchased color-block t-shirt from ASOS. The shirt’s bold white stripes in combination with the navy sleeves, and warm color palette add for a nice contrast don’t you think? I certainly do! Having said that, I styled my shirt with a pair of skinny moto jeans from H&M. This is actually my second time wearing these jeans, and they fit quite well considering they were purchased three years ago. So, how do you feel about this particular look? #WIWT Summer Wedding Suit

What I’m Wearing
Suit | Shirt | Shoes

Happy Hump Day! As mentioned in a previously post found here, I had the honor of being a groomsmen in my friend Reggie’s wedding. I flew out to Durham, North Carolina last Friday, with my suit tightly packed in my carry-on book bag. Here is an example of how to rock that well folded suit. So, How did you manage to pack an entire suit in a book bag Bryce? To be completely transparent, I watched a ton of youtube videos on how to fold a suit for travel. Luckily, I stumbled across this video found here, which really did the trick. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the suit arrived to my home folded in a cardboard box? We rented our suits from The Black Tux, a on-line fashion company that specializes in suits and tuxedos. The suits were mailed out two weeks before the wedding. Since the suit arrived a tad wrinkled, I had no problem refolding it for travel. Before the wedding, I had a day to release the wrinkles with a little shower steam.

Okay, so that was a mouthful. Now, let’s talk about the suit. As you know, lighter weight fabrics are the best way to go for summer. This particular suit was light enough for a humid, afternoon. You know that down south heat is a different type of beast too! Rather than neckties, the groom accessorized us with pink polka-dot bow-ties and pocket squares, which were heavily influenced by the summer’s soft color palette. Light shades of blue, green, and yellow also complement a grey suit quite well. Overall, I loved this particular suit. I felt straight out of a 007 movie. #WIWT Caliborn Apparel

What I’m Wearing
Shirt | Jeans | Loafers

Today’s post is a partnership with California based lifestyle brand, Caliborn Apparel. This is my new favorite spot for light-weight graphic tees, which go the distance during the warmer months. Their men’s section offer a variety of styles, including short and long sleeve tees. Here, I decided to keep it simple in this Caliborn Bear tri-blend tee. In terms of styling preferences, I have experimented with both tucked and untucked looks. As shown above, I tucked my Calborn Bear tee in my favorite distressed denim jeans. To finish off this look, I slid in to my newly purchased KG Kurt Geiger Brocade slip on loafers. This backless style shoe keeps my bottoms nice a chill, even during the warmest afternoons.
