I can’t believe it’s the last day of February already! This month has come and gone so fast. I mean there are only twenty eight days, but who is really counting? Nerveless, February is Black History Month. Bryce Lennon, everyday is Black History Month! Yes, I know we should celebrate our history every day, but we use this month to celebrate every person of color that has contributed to our society. So, in honor of this month, I put together this little playlist to keep the spirit going well into 2017. Check out the jams below:

  2. “Mercy Mercy Me,” Marvin Gaye
  3. “Living for the City,” Stevie Wonder
  4. “U.N.I.T.Y,” Queen Latifah

What I’m Wearing
Shirt: Goodwill | Duster Coat: ASOS | Jeans: Thrift | Shoes: DSW

I found this striped, referee style shirt at my local Goodwill for $5. Made from a soft performance material, this top is fully weather resistant. That makes sense, especially if you have a soccer game to officiate. With all this unpredictable weather we’ve been having in New Jersey, the duster coat is the perfect addition to any outfit. So, how do you feel about this particular look? WIWT: Camel Overcoat

What I’m Wearing
Topcoat: Old Navy | Sweater: H&M | Jeans: H&M |Boots: DSW

I really got into camel coats a couple years ago, and I haven’t abandoned the trend yet. Why? It’s extremely versatile. You can dress it up or down depending on where you are going. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m always dressing down my topcoats. Take, for instance, the outfit shown above. I dressed down my topcoat with a rugby inspired sweater, a pair of skinny jeans, and these newly purchased wingtip leather boots. Originally, I was going to wear my favorite distressed jeans with a sweatshirt. However, I think the black jeans add a perfect contrast to the boots and coat. So, how do you feel about this particular outfit? Feel free to share below.

OOTW: February 2017
Outfit of the Week
Jacket: Mango | Shirt: River Island | Jeans: River Island | Sneakers: Vans

Monochromatic and double denim! You can’t beat that, right? Most of my double denim looks are worn with either boots or sneakers. As shown above, I went with a pair of Vans. Not much more to say here since the outfit itself is pretty straight forward. How do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

See you tomorrow,
