#WIWT Sherpa Denim Jacket

November 28, 2018

What I’m Wearing
Sherpa Denim Jacket | Shirt | Pants | Boots

Back in college, I was lucky enough to own a very cozy, sherpa lined corduroy coat. Please note that I went to a southern university during the “Snap and Roll” days, when corduroy jackets in general were few and far between. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t hot stuff back then. Fast forward to 2018, and here we are again. Sherpa lining has transitioned back into mainstream fashion yet again. That said, I found this bleached sherpa lined denim jacket on ASOS, and of course, I had to get it! Today I decided to style my jacket with this vertically striped t-shirt and dress pants. The denim on black adds for a nice contrast, especially with the wingtip oxford boots. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

OOTD: Colorblock Puffer Jacket

Outfit of the Week
Jacket | Sweater | Jeans | Sneakers

Over the years, I have a developed a soft spot for puffer jackets. I know, it sounds really weird, but I’ve been mildly obsessed with them for quite some time. I’m not exactly sure if the softness has anything to do with it, but they are so comfortable. That being said, I happened to stumble across this multi-color colorblock puffer jacket from Forever21. Although it may seem a little loud to you, I love it! So much so that I created an entire outfit. My original thought was to wear all black. However, I thought the grey sweater was a better option. What do you think? Feel free to share in the comments section below!

#WIWT Herringbone Blazer

November 21, 2018

What I’m Wearing
Herringbone Blazer | Vest | Shirt | Jeans | Shoes

Without a doubt, I have a niche for finding herringbone blazers in the thrift store. Herringbone blazer? Sorry, was that too specific for you? Just in case you have been hiding under a rock, herringbone blazers have been around for quite some time. Traced all the way back to Egyptian textiles, the herringbone print has a very distinct v-shape pattern that is typically made from wool, hence the fall look. Wool is typically worn during the cooler months. I can’t imagine wearing a wool blazer in ninety degree weather. Anyhoo, I decided to style my herringbone blazer with a simple grey waistcoat, dress shirt, and necktie. Based on the colors, you can see I’m maintaining a cool color palette for the fall. Continuing with this theme, I threw on my favorite skinny jeans and leather zip up loafers. The brown and black add a nice little contrast, don’t they? So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Happy Hump Day,
