#WIWT Cut-off Flannel Shirt

What I’m Wearing
Flannel Shirt | Shorts | Sneakers

Hey everyone! So, I have to tell you something very interesting. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Pinterest fashion boards (More so than usual), and I happened to notice a late summer trend. All the cool guys are cutting of their shirt sleeves, like in a 90s type of way. Rather than missing out on all the fun, I decided to cut the sleeves off my old flannel shirt from way back. More specifically, this shirt goes all the way back to undergrad. That being said, it has some sentimental value. Since it’s still scorching hot outside, I decided to style the shirt with my favorite black khaki shorts from H&M. For the evening hours, you should go with a pair of chinos or denim jeans instead. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Thanks for all the support,

Secondhand Sunday: Festival Attire

What I’m Wearing
Shirt | Jeans | Sneakers

Happy September folks! It’s Labor Day weekend, and you know what that means…festival season is finally dwindling down. Made in America is back in Philly this weekend. So, all the kiddies are out getting intoxicated in 90 degree weather, listening to a plethora of great music. Meanwhile, I’m being my usual weird self, putting together festival looks, with no intentions of actually going out. If I were to attend a music festival though, this is what I would wear. My summer staple, the Hawaiian button-up shirt is perfect for any event. With such a bold print, the shirt looks great with a pair of distressed denim jeans. I actually went with a pair of grey denim jeans from ASOS. Finishing off, I went with my low top Chuck Taylors. Classic, right? So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Happy Labor Day Weekend,

Travel: Long Beach Island

August 30, 2018

Due to some unusual circumstances, I haven’t been to the beach all summer. I know, it’s pretty ridiculous, but it’s life. Needless to say, Mo and I had a chance to grab our beach towels and hit the Jersey Shore. More specifically, Long Beach Island. Located along the eastern coast of New Jersey, Long Beach Island is a very chill spot. Let’s be honest, when you don’t have a boardwalk filled with ferris wheels, funnel cakes, and bars, the only sounds are the waves hitting the sand. Aside from the 97 degree weather, this was the perfect way to end the month of August. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to hit the shore a few more times next summer. In the meantime, enjoy some of these random moments with my Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Polaroid camera. We took a lot of photos so the following are just a few highlights. Have you been on any beach trips this summer? Let’s chat about it in the comments section below.

Talk to you soon,

#WIWT Summer Wedding Suit

August 29, 2018

What I’m Wearing
Suit | Shirt | Shoes

Happy Hump Day! As mentioned in a previously post found here, I had the honor of being a groomsmen in my friend Reggie’s wedding. I flew out to Durham, North Carolina last Friday, with my suit tightly packed in my carry-on book bag. Here is an example of how to rock that well folded suit. So, How did you manage to pack an entire suit in a book bag Bryce? To be completely transparent, I watched a ton of youtube videos on how to fold a suit for travel. Luckily, I stumbled across this video found here, which really did the trick. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the suit arrived to my home folded in a cardboard box? We rented our suits from The Black Tux, a on-line fashion company that specializes in suits and tuxedos. The suits were mailed out two weeks before the wedding. Since the suit arrived a tad wrinkled, I had no problem refolding it for travel. Before the wedding, I had a day to release the wrinkles with a little shower steam.

Okay, so that was a mouthful. Now, let’s talk about the suit. As you know, lighter weight fabrics are the best way to go for summer. This particular suit was light enough for a humid, afternoon. You know that down south heat is a different type of beast too! Rather than neckties, the groom accessorized us with pink polka-dot bow-ties and pocket squares, which were heavily influenced by the summer’s soft color palette. Light shades of blue, green, and yellow also complement a grey suit quite well. Overall, I loved this particular suit. I felt straight out of a 007 movie. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.
