“What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”

On Friday, September 23, 2016, Ariana J Williams lost her life in  a tragic car accident. Unfortunately, the memory still haunts me today. I was sitting in a staff meeting, and I received a text message from one of my friends, Kira. She asked to me check up on Tatiana since she saw a “Rest in Peace” post to her sister on Instagram earlier that morning. I excused myself from the meeting and gave Tatiana, a call. The phone went straight to voicemail. Luckily, I was able to get in contact with Tatiana’s cousin Whitney. She eventually broke the news to me about Ariana’s passing. My heart sank instantly, as a tear rolled down my left cheek. To anyone who has ever experienced the loss of a friend, sibling, parent, or relative, my heart goes out to you. Words can’t describe the feeling.

For the last two years, family and friends of Ariana gather for an evening of remembrance and fellowship. This year, we congregated in Florence, NJ for a candlelight service. While under the stars, we ate, danced, and came together in honor of Ariana’s life. We love and miss you Ari!

Her twin sister, Tatiana, has been working around the clock to debut her personal blog 365daysofloss.com. There’s nothing I love more than a blog with a powerful message. To be transparent, Tatiana’s work is truly AMAZING! I admire anyone that can channel their energy in a positive direction. So, make sure you check out 365daysofloss. Be sure to show Tatiana some love.

Bless,

#WIWT Hooded Denim Jacket

What I’m Wearing
Hooded Denim Jacket | Shirt | Jeans | Sneakers

It’s starting to feel like Autumn, and I love it! Don’t get me wrong, I live for the summer. However, there’s something special about turning leaves and pumpkin scented fragrances. Oh, and how could I forget about fall layering. It’s the key to survival during the cooler months. That being said, I decided to create this simple layered look, consisting of a light weight denim jacket and t-shirt. Now, this is not your everyday denim jacket my friends. This is what I’d call a hooded denim jacket, with a hoodie literally attached to the collar. Dope, right? In addition, I love dressing my jacket up or down, especially with the right pair of pants. Today, I went with a pair of grey jeans from H&M. So, how do you feel about this particular outfit? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

What I’m Wearing
Jersey Stripes | Jeans |Sneakers

Happy hump day everyone! Guess what? The first day of fall is Friday, and I’m ready to start pulling out all my favorite long sleeve tops. As you can see from the outfit shown above, I got a little ahead of myself. Today, I decided to throw on this fun, soccer jersey with my favorite distressed denim jeans. You know, the ones I wear in almost every blog post. Not literally, but I do wear them often. Anyway, I really enjoy pairing athletic and casual apparel together. That being said, the jersey and denim compliment each other quite well. So, how do you feel about this particular outfit? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

OOTW: Donald Duck Sweatshirt

September 18, 2018

Outfit of the Week
Sweatshirt | Pants | Sneakers

Hey everyone! I’m back again this week to show off a new OOTW look, created by your truly. To be honest, I was never a fan of Donald Duck growing up. He was a tad too goofy for my personal entertainment. However, he has grown on me over the years. Needless to say, I found all this animated apparel on Forever21’s website, which inspired this entire look. The Donald Duck sweatshirt looks great dressed up with a pair of plaid pants, as shown above. Make sure you dress it back down with your favorite Chuck Taylors. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below!

Adios,
