What I’m Wearing

As a man of both African and Native American decent, I take pride in my ethnic identity. I love embracing my cultural heritage through ethnic prints and patterns. For this particular post, I had the opportunity to receive an amazing shirt from an African clothing brand, ADEPA Wear. With the tagline, “Adepa: The Value in Africa,” Adepa aims to create sustainable opportunities for the less privileged. With that being said, I decided to create a simple look with my light weight Adepa tee. The embroidered kente design elements on the shirt add a lot of character. Earlier this year, GAP launched their first-ever 90’s Archive Re-Issue Collection, featuring items from your favorite 90’s inspired trends. When you get a chance, check out the full collection here. Of course, I took it upon myself to join in on all the 90’s fun with this fully thrifted outfit. As you can see, the denim shirt and jeans are a tad over-sized, perfect for that old school GAP look. WIWT: Leather Pants

Move over ladies, men can rock a pair of leather trousers too! Pair your favorite leather pants with a ribbed sweater or graphic tee and you are sure to feel like a celebrity. Today, I decided to step out in these black, leather pants from ASOS. With a slim fit, these pants look great with a longline jacket and shirt, as shown above. The black bomber jacket adds a nice touch to the pants, since there are in the same color family. The Micky Mouse print tee from H&M adds a little character to the look. WIWT: Moto Jeans

Since the temperature is dropping yet again this week, I decided to put this little number together in hopes of avoiding another cold. Since I’m combating the chilly weather, the skinny moto jeans are a perfect fit. With ribbed panels across both knees, the jeans are perfect for a chilly afternoon in the city. Find the right boot or sneaker, and you will definitely have a deadly combination. For the rest of this look, I styled my jeans with a lightweight bomber jacket and graphic sweatshirt from H&M. Ironically, the entire outfit is from H&M, minus the boots. All in all, this outfit is very stylish yet simple. It doens’t take much to style a pair of moto jeans, does it?
