#WIWT Alternative Business Casual

Everyday, I challenge myself to think outside the box when it comes to work attire. So much so that I have dedicated an entire section in my closet to alternative business clothing. Who does that?! You know I’m a little eccentric at times. Nevertheless, I decided to show of one of my favorite business causal ensembles, shown above. I almost always wear my sweaters, dress shirts, and ties layered under a denim jacket. It beats wearing a thick, wool coat. For a little contrast, I further styled my look with a pair of purple, denim pants from H&M. To be honest, these pants don’t get much play on the regular. Why? It’s quite unusual to get away with a pair of purple pants to begin with, let alone as work attire. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Whoa, two Sundays in a row?! It looks like I’m on a roll this month. Neverless, I decided to kick off the week with a new #SecondhandSundays post. Today, it’s all about the wool sweater. More specifically, the v-neck jumper. I actually found this particular sweater at my local Goodwill. One thing for sure: this fun sweater can be dressed up or down, depdning on your personal style. I actually decided to dress down the sweater with a longline puffer jacket and my favorite navy track pants. Nice combo, right? So, how do you feel about this particular look? WIWT: Trench Coat

Everyone, say hello to my new favorite jacket, the classic trench coat. Longer than your average coat, this navy trench is perfect for a day at the office. Plus, it’s thrifted! It doesn’t get more authentic than that, right? Overall, this outfit is quite simple. The rust crew-neck sweater adds a nice contrast to the navy jacket. WIWT: Parka Jacket

On those chilly and rainy mornings, there’s not much you can do in order to keep yourself dry. What about an umbrella? Well, I only have one and of course, I forgot it at home. So, that leaves me with no other choice than to wear a hooded coat or jacket. With that being said, I decided to put my rain parka jacket to some good use for this post. Purchased as a Christmas gift a couple years ago, this jacket is my go-to for everything 50 degrees and below. I love wearing it to and from work, especially since I have to walk quite a distance everyday. Speaking of work, I decided to put together this business casual look. Business casual?
