WIWT: The Classic Navy Peacoat

Wool, wool, and more wool! This season is all about heavy outerwear pieces, including the peacoat. Long or short, this particular coat can be dressed up or down depending on your current mood. Today, I decided to dress down my navy peacoat with this super baggy fit. So I decided to wear this navy turtle neck sweater with a pair of khaki pants. Don’t these colors compliment each other quite nicely? With the white sneakers, this is definitely giving off a 90s homeboy vibe. and these white ADIDAS sneakers. WIWT: Bomber Jacket

Believe it or not, I really enjoy dressing in athletic apparel. Since I grew up in a house full of athletes, athletic apparel was the first choice when it came to lounge-wear. That said, I decided to style my favorite bomber jacket with a solid color tee and drop crotch joggers. In general, bomber jackets can be worn with practically anything. As you can see, I went for a more casual approach. For a pop of color, I threw on my royal blue Puma Sneakers. I actually stumbled across these shoes on my favorite website, ASOS. Happy Hump Day fam! Although it’s quite chilly in New Jersey, I have yet to wear any heavy duty coats this season. Instead, I’ve been dressing in layers! Big bulky tops like sweaters or sweatshirts are really fun, especially when worn over a flannel shirt. This preppy style looks great with denim jeans and sneakers as well. I can’t get over this printed crewneck sweatshirt from The Ninth House. Really fun if you get the Mean Girls reference. So, how do you feel about this particular look? WIWT: Flannel Shirt Around the Waist

I know the tied shirt around the waist look has been a little played for quite some time now, but it’s still super appealing to me. The 90s phenomena made such a comeback in 2013, that it was completely watered down the following year. Even still, I love tying an old flannel button-down over a simple solid color sweatshirt, as shown above. This is the perfect transitional outfit for layering, especially between seasons. I also believe that the customized distressed denim skinny jeans and Sk8 Hi Vans are my new favorite combo for the season. In conjunction with the shirt tied around the waist trend, this casual look is practical, yet stylish at the same time. So, how do you feel about this particular look?
