#WIWT Cut-off Flannel Shirt

Hey everyone! So, I have to tell you something very interesting. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Pinterest fashion boards (More so than usual), and I happened to notice a late summer trend. All the cool guys are cutting of their shirt sleeves, like in a 90s type of way. Rather than missing out on all the fun, I decided to cut the sleeves off my old flannel shirt from way back. More specifically, this shirt goes all the way back to undergrad. That being said, it has some sentimental value. Since it’s still scorching hot outside, I decided to style the shirt with my favorite black khaki shorts from H&M. For the evening hours, you should go with a pair of chinos or denim jeans instead. WIWT: Moto Jacket

Sorry for the lack of content lately. My life has been quite a whirl wind to say the least. No excuses though! Since 2018 is right around the corner, I am fully committing to another years worth of full blog content. So without further ado, I’m sharing my last outfit of 2017. After doing some digging, I happened to find a black moto jacket in H&M. It’s structure reminds me of something from a 1950s flick. Since this jacket is very versatile, I wore it with a yellow and black flannel button-down, black skinny jeans, and topped it off with my black leather boots. Layering is an art form in itself, and it can take many years to perfect. With the help of the”King of Layering” himself, Kanye West, it’s taken me at least three years to finally nail. That being said, I often find myself layering old crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies, blazers, and jackets together. This week, I decided to layer an old flannel shirt over a solid color hoodie. This combo is the perfect alternative to your every day fall apparel. Also, add a nice pair of denim and leather always does the trick. So, how do you feel about this particular look? WIWT: Flannel Shirt Around the Waist

I know the tied shirt around the waist look has been a little played for quite some time now, but it’s still super appealing to me. The 90s phenomena made such a comeback in 2013, that it was completely watered down the following year. Even still, I love tying an old flannel button-down over a simple solid color sweatshirt, as shown above. This is the perfect transitional outfit for layering, especially between seasons. I also believe that the customized distressed denim skinny jeans and Sk8 Hi Vans are my new favorite combo for the season. In conjunction with the shirt tied around the waist trend, this casual look is practical, yet stylish at the same time. So, how do you feel about this particular look?
