WIWT: Duster Coat

February 28, 2018

What I’m Wearing
Coat: ASOS | Turtleneck: KOHLS | Jeans: ASOS | Loafers: Thrifted

The duster coat is not your usual winter statement piece. It’s light weight material is best for the fall. Since our temperatures have been mild (With snow), the duster coat is a great alternative to your topcoat. Here I decided to style my full length duster coat with a black turtle neck, distressed jeans, and tassel loafers. Distressed jeans in the winter? I can’t emphasize this enough, but distressed jeans can be worn in the winter. You just have to know when to wear them, temperature wise. As mentioned previously, the temperature has been very mild lately. So, distressed jeans and sock-less shoes are appropriate for this particular look. So, how do you feel about this particular look? What I’m Wearing
Shirt: Thrifted | Topcoat: Thrifted | Pants: H&M | Sneakers: Vans

Hey everyone! I decided to kick off the week with another #SecondhandSunday post. So, first up, let’s talk about this amazing thrifted, printed button-down shirt I found at the Goodwill. If you know me, you should understand my philosophy on prints in general. It’s all about mix and matching colors and patterns. So 90s, right? Continuing with this theme, I decided to style the shirt with my favorite wool topcoat and corduroy pants. This shows you how to get a little adventurous with your color choices. WIWT: Olive Blazer

February 21, 2018

What I’m Wearing
Blazer: Boutique | Turtleneck: KOHLS | Jeans: American Eagle | Boots: ASOS

I almost purchased a olive green suit jacket last year. Too bad it was priced at $100. Now, if the suit jacket had matching pants, I may have made the purchase. Could you imagine an olive green suit? That’s a completely different blog post. Luckily, I found this olive green blazer at a local boutique in Philadelphia. Not only is this jacket wool, it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Here I decided to style my blazer with a dark grey turtle neck sweater and distressed denim jeans. The contrasting light and dark colors add a nice touch to the blazer. For footwear, I slid in my favorite suede, camel chelsea boots, aka the brunch boots. You know that’s what you young folks are calling them these days.  So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

See ya,

WIWT: Layering

What I’m Wearing
Jacket: Old Navy | Hoodie: TARGET | Jeans: H&M | Boots: DSW

Happy Hump Day! Over the years, I’ve learned a thing our two about the art of layering from a few celebrity resources. Case in point, hip hop sensation, Kanye West is known for his amazing tracks and grungy street style. One of his signature looks is the baggie hoodie and overcoat combo. Simple, yet trendy, this pairing is ideal for seasonal layering. I’ve been so inspired by Mr. Yeezy, I decided to take a stab at his hoodie-coat pairing myself. As shown above, I layered my grey hooded sweatshirt under my favorite wool peacoat. Such a simple concept with amazing results! Plus, the camel and grey add a nice little contrast. For the rest of the outfit, I kept it simple with these denim moto jeans and brown combat boots. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Until we meet again,
