OOTW: 4th of July Cookout

To be honest, I can’t say that I’m the most patriotic person, but summer cookouts are my thing. Plus, who doesn’t look a good cookout ensemble? I know I certainly do. That being said, I decided to create this festive 4th of July cookout outfit. Since I’ll most likely be beach or poolside tomorrow, I thought it would really fun to throw on these star spangled banner swim trunks. Aren’t they fun?! Since these shorts are very colorful, I decided to tone them down with a short sleeve, denim shirt and white racerback tank. Since it’s going to be a hot one tomorrow, I’ll more than likely keep the denim shirt in my bag. Large armpit, sweat stains are a no go for me. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Travel: Valenzano Winery

Last Saturday, my friends and I made wine tasting reservations at Valenzano Winery in Shamong, New Jersey. Our goal? In short, I wanted my friends to experience one of the hidden treasures of the Garen State, the South Jersey wineries. There are at least five wineries within forty minutes of my house. Of course Valenzano is my favorite. Not only is their wine delicious, their winery is beautiful. Every time I go, I leave feeling very satisfied. During our wine tasting, we sample ten dry and sweet wines. My favorites included the Jersey Devil Honey Wine, Shamong Blush, and the Red, White, and Blue Sangria. Garden State. Plus, after the tasting we received a mini tour, which I have never experienced. So, if you happen to ever be in the South Jersey area, be sure to stop by Valenzano Winery. You won’t be disappointed!

Guess what? The tie dye trend is back again this summer, and it looks like it’s here to stay for a while. Here I decided to style my thrifted tie dye shirt with a pair of DIY distressed jeans. Tucked in or out, this shirt is an easy transition from 70s to 90s apparel. With the checkered low top vans, you are sure to step out in the crowd. Let’s also not forget to mention the ever so trendy shoe lace belt. Shoe lace belt? Yes! It’s another DIY trick I saw on Pinterest. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Events: Washington Lake Park Wine Festival

Yesterday, my friends and I decided to take a trip down to Sewell, NJ for the annual Washington Lake Park Wine Festival. As a self proclaimed wine-o, this is my fourth year attending this event, and it gets better every time! This year, my friend Whitney, decided to bring in her 31st Birthday on the right note with a few decorations and her favorite, Veuve Clicquot champagne. No, we are not at the infamous Polo Classic, but that’s how Whitney wanted to bring in her special day. That being said, we had a great time fellow shipping with all the New Jersey wineries.
