Review – Jan Marini Skin Research Rejuvenate and Protect

April 14, 2019

Since the beginning of 2019, I’ve been looking for some new facial and skincare regimens for my sensitive skin. At this point, it’s all about slowing down the aging process (Mo and I both agree on that 🙂 ). Don’t get me wrong, I can still pass for a college student, but a little maintenance here and there can go a long way. Luckily, I was very fortunate to receive a Rejuvenate & Protect – Antioxidant DFP sample set from Jan Marini! This is my first skincare sponsorship from Jan Marini and I’m more than ecstatic to be working with them!

About the Brand

Haven’t heard of Jan Marini? According to their website found here, “Founded in 1994, the San Jose, CA-based Jan Marini Skin Research, Inc. (JMSR) is a recognized leader and innovator in skin care that is committed to continually expanding and improving the professional skin care market. JMSR’s two primary focuses are to provide innovative technologies that deliver proven measurable results and an unwavering commitment to the ongoing success of our customers.”

Packaging

So, I’m about to have a vulnerable moment right now…but I found myself grinning like such a fanboy when I received my package in the mail. Ha! The box itself was enough to get me excited! Both bottles were firmly secure in place when un-packaged. I felt so exclusive!

Value

For the box set, the retail prices is marked at $139. This is a steal considering and C-ESTA Serum is sold at $110 and the Marini Physical Protectant at $53. You know I love saving a good dollar, so the box set is right up my alley. Plus, I know holiday season was just a few months ago, but this could be the perfect gift for someone special. Fellas, save up those coins!

Results

As a runner, I have difficulty managing my skin under harsh weather conditions. My shoulders are constantly exposed to the hot sun, resulting in a lot of skin shedding and redness. Stressful, right? So, the Marini Physical Protectant is right up my alley. Not only is this protectant weightless, you don’t have to wait too long before it absorbs into your skin. Most importantly, take note of how your skin feels and shines the next day. It’s truly amazing!

In addition, my face is also prone to breakouts and redness as well. That’s where the C-ESTA Serum comes into play. This skin rejuvenating product serves to lift and tighten the appearance of facial contours. Let’s not forget to mention the free-radical protection as well!

Similar to the Physical Protectant, the C-ESTA Serum has a very light consistency and absorbs right into my skin. I’ve been using the product for a couple days now, and I can already see a major difference. My skin looks so refreshed!

Without a doubt, the Rejuvenate & Protect – Antioxidant DFP sample set will be in my skincare regiment while supplies last 🙂 ! Make sure you check  out Jan Marini when you get a chance.

With love,

What I’m Wearing
D’iyanu Shirt | Jeans | Sneakers

Happy Hump Day folks! For this post, I’m excited to share an African inspired clothing line I discovered, D’iyanu. Launched back in 2014, D’iyanu specializes in bold, trendy garments for the everyday man. Let’s not forget about the women and kids section as well! There are enough garments and styles to go around the room! Having said that, today I stepped out in my latest African print dashiki t-shirt from D’iyanu. This forest green shirt has a super vibrant neckline, and pairs perfectly with the right denim jeans. Remember, you can transition any look into summer with white. It’s that simple! So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below! Thanks for reading!

Last weekend, everyone on IG was chillin at the Dreamville Festival down in Raleigh, North Carolina. Not familiar? Well, it’s the first big hip-hop festival in NC to break headlines in years! Fayetteville’s finest, rapper J. Cole, put together this event for all the music lovers like myself. That being said, I’m not missing out on any of the fun in 2020. Mo and I will be attending this one (And I hate festivals, but the lineup was sick). If you missed the show, be sure to check out some groovy tunes by all your favorite, featured artists:

#WIWT Moto Jacket

What I’m Wearing
Jacket | Shirt | Pants | Sneakers

New season, new leather! Today, I’m back on the blog with another one of my favorites, the brown moto jacket. Rather than styling it with my usual sweatshirt, jeans, and boots, I went down a different path this time. After recently watching the Stranger Things season 3 trailer, I got inspired to put together this 80s inspired get up. Tucking the graphic tee in the wide leg dress pants really set this look off, especially with the moto jacket. There is so much brown in this look, and I’m loving it! So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below! Thanks for reading!

Catch you later,
