What I’m Wearing
Cardigan | T-Shirt | Pants | Boots

About ten years ago, button-down cardigan sweaters were a big deal. If you recall, the preppy movement was in full swing back then. You couldn’t tell me nothing in my bowtie, dress shirt, and a sweater (You already know which one). Flash forward a decade later, everything is a little longer and chunkier, but styled a bit differently than before. Most fashionable guys are wearing white tees with everything. So, why not wear one with your favorite cardigan sweater (Mine, of course, is the varsity cardigan)? In addition, I like styling my cardigan with a pair of wide-leg dress pants. Hey everyone! I’m back again this week to show off another fit from the “How to Thrift an Entire Outfit” for fall.

This particular look is very 90s inspired (Think Clueless meets Sex Education). The baggy sweater vest paired with the high-waisted dress pants are the perfect combo.

In all seriousness, take a closer look at the outfit details below! Hopefully, this inspires you to go thrifting sometime in the near future.

OUTFIT #2

Sweater Vest

An orange, button-down sweater vest? Wow, what a rare find! I actually went two towns over to find this gem. I walked out paying $4, and couldn’t believe the deal. Plus, the sweater vest still had a price tag. You know what the means? It’s brand new!

Pants

I’ve been looking for a good pair of black dress pants, and luckily I found these for $8. Hemmed at the ankle, the wide leg opening is ideal for the right pair of sneakers.

Lets kick off the fall season with our second, “How to Thrift an Entire Outfit” guide. Last time we checked in, I focused on four looks purchased from the Goodwill. This time, I’m cutting the total number of outfits in half. That shouldn’t change things too much though.

That said, check out the full outfit below:

OUTFIT #1

Shirt

It’s not everyday that you stumble across a rust colored, collar shirt with big pockets, especially for $4. Slightly oversized, the shirt itself is a denim-like material, and should be worn loosely unbuttoned.

Shorts

Long shorts are super trendy this season (Think skater apparel with less pockets), and I bet you’ll have a lot of fun wearing them out and about as the weather changes. In terms of length, it’s pretty standard for most shorts to stop right above the knee.
