OOTW: February 2017
Outfit of the Week
Jacket: Mango | Shirt: River Island | Jeans: River Island | Sneakers: Vans

Monochromatic and double denim! You can’t beat that, right? Most of my double denim looks are worn with either boots or sneakers. As shown above, I went with a pair of Vans. Not much more to say here since the outfit itself is pretty straight forward. How do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

See you tomorrow,

Happy Valentine’s Day! For all you sad puppies out there that lost a partner, never had one, or really wants one, cheer up! You don’t have to actually have a Valentine to celebrate the holiday. I’m sure there is someone in your life that you love. Whether it’s a current lover, parent, best friend, sibling, or a pet, make sure this person knows how much you care today! I know it sounds a lot easier than it sounds, but I’ve been there before. Valentine’s Day was once a drag for me.

Why? Well, when you spent countless of years comparing your love life to others through social media, you can get down on yourself and forget the true meaning of the holiday. Rather than spending another year projecting my hatred for everyone that celebrated the holiday, I did some major soul searching. First off, I had to really learn how to love myself. How can you expect to love when you don’t love yourself? No need to go into the gory details of self work, but I did figure it out. Next, appreciate those around you. As a Leo, I can be a little self absorbed and I can come off as a little ungrateful. That’s when the appreciation began. Once I was able grasp this concept, I realized that love is actually dope and I have fully invested myself with the holiday ever since. As you can see, I love dressing up Valentine’s Day.

This year, I decided to rock this graphic tee from Fashionpowwow with a black leather jacket, dress pants, and slip on sneakers. Where is your red? Why wear something red when you have the words “Love is Dope” across your chest? So, how did you bring in Valentine’s Day. Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Peace, Love, and Harmony,

If you weren’t glued to your television last night, I’m sure you heard something about the Grammy Awards this morning. From Beyoncé crying during Adele’s acceptance speech to Chance the Rapper living out his hip hop glory, it was a night to remember. Thanks to social media, I was able to join in a few discussions during my Walking Dead binge. So, in honor of this amazing night in music, I created a playlist dedicated to some of the evening’s elite winners!

  1. “Hello,” Adele
  2. “Stressed Out,” Twenty One Pilots
  3. “Blackstar,” David Bowie
  4. “Cry Baby,” Cage the Elephant
  5. “Hotline Bling,” Drake
  6. “Angel (Live),” Lalah Hathaway
  7. “Humble and Kind,” Tim McGraw
  8. “God Provides,” Tamela Mann
  9. “Softly and Tenderly,” Joey+Rory

Enjoy,

What I’m Wearing
Shirt: Goodwill | Trench Coat: ASOS | Jeans: River Island | Chelsea Boots: ASOS

So, I found this “Save Ferris” t-shirt at the thrift store last summer, and it’s become one of my favorite gems. As you can see, the shirt is grey with a black print. Simple, yet very catchy at the same time. Although it’s rather large in size, the shirt looks great when worn with skinny jeans or shorts. Since it’s the middle of winter, skinny jeans are the best choice. Today, I styled my shirt with with a long, black trench coat and wide brim fedora. This is definately one of those he’s too cool for school looks. To top it off, I slipped in my newly purchased suede chelsea boots from ASOS. So, how do you feel about this particular look?
