With Big Brother 19 premiering on Wednesday, I plan to wrap up this season within the next couple of days. Last time we tuned in to BBCAN, Dillon was blindsided and sent packing by his closest ally in the game. This week, the Jamaican Queen, Ika Wong, was finally dethroned at the final four. Unfortunately, Ika was only a few days short of the live finale. Let’s find out how it all went down in the full summary below.

Head of Household

Following Dillon’s eviction, the remaining houseguests competed in the “Solve for X” Head of Household competition. According to Big Brother Network, “In this competition, houseguests watched the monitor that would slowly reveal information about a specific week in the House, such as the Head of Household, nominees, and Have-Nots. In each round, one piece of information will be crossed off. The houseguests must correctly identify the information that was left out. The first houseguest to buzz in with the correct answer will receive a point. The houseguest with the most points will be the new Head of Household.” After a close match, Demetres prevailed and won his fourth HoH challenge, beating out his showmance partner Ika.

Nominations

Now, that Demetres is Head of Household yet again, it came to no surprise when Karen and Kevin saw themselves sitting on the block.

Power of Veto Competition

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s time for the final Power of Veto competition of the season. In the “Down Under” Power of Veto competition, the houseguests must place their questions in chronological order in the universe above. Then, they must head to the alternate universe beneath them and place the correct answer corresponding to the questions. The houseguest who correctly organizes and completes the questions and answers the fastest will win the Power of Veto. When it’s all said and done, Kevin won the POV, securing his spot in the final three.

Power of Veto Ceremony

Since Kevin won the Veto, Demetres was forced to put up Ika as the replacement nominee. Ika accepted her fate in the game, knowing that her game was coming to an end, with Kevin having the sole vote to evict.

As mentioned previously, Kevin now has the sole vote to evict either Ika or Karen. Contrary to popular belief, Kevin actually weighed his options. Although Ika has played a better game and deserves the money, she is more of a threat to win the game. Plus, it would be very beneficial to split up a showmance before the finale. With that being said, Kevin casted his vote against Ika, sending her to the jury house.

What I’m Wearing
Shirt: TEThrift| Jacket: H&M| Jeans: H&M| Boots: DSW

The tucked in short sleeve tee look has been my new go-to trend since the weather reached an ultimate high this month. Why? In short, the trend is simple, yet old school at the same time. My father is good for a tucked-in shirt look, especially back in the day. Today, I decided to tuck in my new graphic tee to show off my lean silhouette. Where did you get the shirt from Bryce? Thanks for asking! The shirt was a gift from Desiree, the creator of Thrift Element Apparel Co. This Sojourner Truth shirt is from the “Forgotten Women of Civil Rights Capsule Collection.” Dope, right? Exactly! This superhero inspired shirt sends a powerful message without over using imagery and bold graphics. As shown above, the shirt was further styled with a pair of black skinny jeans, chelsea boots, and a khaki jacket. Are you impressed yet? You should be! If you are looking for some other graphic tee options, head over to Thrift Element Apparel’s official webpage here. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below. Thanks for reading!

Deuces,

Big Brother Canada 5: Week Nine

So, I decided to take a little break from BBCAN to focus on some other projects. Now, that I have a little more free time on my hands, I’m ready to finish up the season. Last time we tuned in, Jackie, Dre, and William were taken out during a live triple eviction. This week, another newbie was sent packing to the jury house. You can find out how everything went down in the full summary below!

Head of Household

Shortly after the eviction, the houseguests participated in the Drunk Speeches Head of Household competition. For this competition, a series of speeches are played for each houseguests. Sounds easy, right? Not exactly! The speeches have been altered to sound as if they were spoken while drunk. The houseguests must listen and identify which day the speeches were given. Whoever receives the most points, will become the new Head of Household. Kevin was the winner, with a perfect score.

Nominations

After winning one the most important HoH competitions of the season, Kevin decided to take another stab at his targets, Demetres and Ika. Of course, Ika was not impressed with Kevin’s nomination speech, and made sure to call him out in front of the entire house. Kevin was completely unbothered by Ika’s verbal attack, and concluded the nomination ceremony.

Power of Veto Competition

On Day 57, the houseguests participated in this Baywatch inspired Power of Veto competition. According to Big Brother Network, “The houseguests must first find the dummies in their color. Then, they must then untie their buoy, climb over the wall, and rescue their dummies. They must take their five dummies back to the beach one at a time. After they save all of their dummies, they must dig in the sand to find their puzzle pieces, and complete their surfboard puzzle. The first HouseGuest to complete their puzzle will win the Power of Veto, as well as a special screening of “Baywatch”.”  During the challenge, Ika began helping Demetres find his dummies. The couple’s joint attempt still fell short with Kevin winning the Power of Veto competition. He asked Dillon and Karen to join him for the movie.

Power of Veto Ceremony

Karen and Dillon intended on sending Ika to the jury house, which went against Kevin’s initial plan. When you think about it from this perspective, Demetres and Dillon are the biggest threats against Kevin. Once Kevin caught wind of Karen and Dillon’s motives, he devised a very strategic move. During the Power of Veto Ceremony, Ika took another jab at Kevin during her speech. In a surprise turn of events, Kevin used the Power of Veto on Ika, and renominated Dillon in her place. .

After the Power of Veto Ceremony, the house was in complete shock. Kevin was still set on sending Demetres packing. Rookie, Karen, was in a tough position. Her close ally Dillon is now on the block with her buddy Demetres. Rather than causing a tie vote, which would leave everything up to Kevin, Karen made a decision to cast a vote against her buddy Dillon. Unfortunately, Dillon’s game was cut right before the final four.

Come back later this week to discuss the finale!

See you tomorrow,
