This chic boutique hotel embraced the traditional Cycladic architecture, adorned with modern touches. Our suite, elegantly decorated in soothing hues, boasted a private terrace with a stunning view of Agios Ioannis Beach and the sparkling Mediterranean waters. The hotel’s proximity to the vibrant Mykonos town added a touch of convenience to our island escapades.

Aboard our spacious and stylish catamaran, we sailed along the Caldera’s rugged coastline, passing quaint villages perched on cliffs and iconic volcanic landscapes. Led by a knowledgeable guide, we explored the island’s hidden gems, from ancient archaeological sites to charming villages. Of course, we couldn’t resist posing for some fashion shots against the backdrop of the iconic blue-domed churches and the vibrant bougainvillea-lined streets.

Mykonos Half Day Tour || Arriving in Mykonos, we joined a half-day tour to discover the island’s most iconic landmarks. We strolled through the narrow alleys of Mykonos town, where bougainvillea-draped buildings and trendy boutiques captivated our fashion-forward hearts. The tour also took us to the famous windmills, providing postcard-worthy vistas of the Aegean Sea and the island’s captivating beauty.

Traveling to St. Maarten

October 16, 2019

So, Mo and I just got back from our trip to St. Maarten (If I’m feeling classy, it’s Sint Maarten), and we had the best time ever! I’m not exaggerating either. Could you imagine waking up to the sounds of the ocean every morning? It was paradise! Listen, we are just two days out of the trip, and we’re still suffering from major vacation withdrawal symptoms. What a time to be alive!

Where We Stayed

If you were hanging around on the Dutch side of the island this past weekend, I bet you saw Mo and I relaxing at the Sonesta Ocean Point Resort. Now, this was my first all inclusive resort experience, and let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The room itself was magnificent. Plus, we were fortunate enough to receive an upgraded room accommodation to the rooftop suite. Dope, right? Oh, let’s not forget to mention that the resort was located meters from the airport. You could literally watch planes land while sipping on the your favorite drink.

Things We Did

Excursions || Mo and I are pretty adventurous, but we decided to skip out on all the zip lining and ATV riding activities. Instead, we opted for a more relaxing experience with a couple of tours. The first tour took us to the French side of the island, where we are able to shop in a local town, walk to the top of Fort Louis, and even feed some friendly iguanas. In addition, we spent a few hours exploring the island of Anguilla (My first time ever on a ferry).

Gambling || I have to be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of gambling. It doesn’t really “do it” for me. However, Mo really enjoyed himself on the slots. We won some, we lost some, and we still had fun sliding our dollar bills in the machine.

Relax || Although there was so much to do and see in St. Maarten, we came there to actually relax. As you can see, we came to the right place. Let’s be transparent here, sleeping in until noon every day is pretty foreign for me. So refreshing!

Where We Ate

As mentioned previously, this was an all inclusive trip. You know what that means, food and drinks are pretty much complimentary. Due to my pescatarian diet, I was reduced to mahi mahi and bacon-less cobb salads all weekend. I was thoroughly full every single day. Mo on the other hand was loving all the jerk chicken and fish he could chew on.

Up next…we’re not sure yet. We do have an upcoming trip to Florida planned in the near future.

Rest well,

-Bryce Lennon

Travel: Marcus Garvey Park

Last Saturday, my bestie, Mora and I, took a quick trip up to NYC to visit our friend Tannis, for here 29th Birthday Party. Now, this wasn’t your typical Birthday Party, but rather a picnic/bbq in the park. For six hours, we spent the afternoon listening to good music, dancing, and enjoying ourselves in Marcus Garvey Park. Despite the 90 degree weather, we still managed to have a great time. Plus, we had enough food to go around.

Catch you later,

Travel: Napa, CA

Last weekend, I flew out to the Bay Area of California to attend a wedding for my dear friends, Cristen and Jimmy! Since this wonderful couple has been together for several years, they decided to walk down the Isle in Napa, California. Since I love to support any and everything relating to love, I had to make a guest appearance! Oh, and did I forget to mention that Napa considered one of the major wine regions of the world 🙂 . So, you know this wedding was one for the books.

Where We Stayed

My friends and I stayed in a private, gated community, fifteen minutes outside of Downtown Napa. The condominium came with a fully remolded kitchen, hardwood floors, and two bedrooms. Our condominium was about two hundred feet from a large pool. Too bad it was freezing outside!

Things We Did

Brown Downtown || The gang and I made reservations with Brown Downtown, the first and only black-owned estate winery in California’s Napa Valley. The venue itself, was located in Downtown Napa. Our tasting began at the flight bar. We were offered from three available flights, with optional add-on appetizer options. You know I love a good wine and cheese combo. The rosé was my favorite of course. Rosé summer!

Where We Ate

There were a lot of restaurants and bars in Downtown Napa. So, you really couldn’t go wrong.

Sky & Vine Rooftop Bar || Located at the Archer Hotel, this venue was the most romantic restaurant, with a skyline view of the city. This made for an incredible dining experience. Cristen and Jimmy really appreciated us for coming out with them.

Grace’s Table || Who doesn’t love a good brunch? When to to Grace’s Table with the best expectations and intentions. Luckily, this place was bomb! Everyone loved their meals. I ate this veggie scramble, and I was so full after. Job well done!

The Wedding

The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the fantastic V. Sattui Winery in Napa. Similar to downtown, the venue was about fifteen minutes from our resort. This was my first time attending a wedding in California, let alone a winery. So, I was super excited to see Cristen and Jimmy enter the next chapter of their lives together 🙂 .

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the cocktail hour for some light refreshments including wine and hors d’oeuvres. This is where I got all the photos. I mean, EVERYONE, looked amazing. So much excellence in one area.

The cocktail hour was followed by an intimate wedding reception, located down in a wine cellar. The wedding party made their grand entrance and the couple shared their first dance together. It was a tear jerking moment! After dinner, we spent the remaining hours dancing and laughing the night away. The wedding was followed by an after party at Cristen and Jimmy’s hotel. Of course, I had a 8:30am flight to catch, so I couldn’t stay too long 🙁 .

Overall, the weekend was full of love, family, and worship. This is exactly what Cristen and Jimmy wanted!
