So, I decided to take a little break from BBCAN to focus on some other projects. Now, that I have a little more free time on my hands, I’m ready to finish up the season. Last time we tuned in, Jackie, Dre, and William were taken out during a live triple eviction. This week, another newbie was sent packing to the jury house. You can find out how everything went down in the full summary below!

Head of Household

Shortly after the eviction, the houseguests participated in the Drunk Speeches Head of Household competition. For this competition, a series of speeches are played for each houseguests. Sounds easy, right? Not exactly! The speeches have been altered to sound as if they were spoken while drunk. The houseguests must listen and identify which day the speeches were given. Whoever receives the most points, will become the new Head of Household. Kevin was the winner, with a perfect score.

Nominations

After winning one the most important HoH competitions of the season, Kevin decided to take another stab at his targets, Demetres and Ika. Of course, Ika was not impressed with Kevin’s nomination speech, and made sure to call him out in front of the entire house. Kevin was completely unbothered by Ika’s verbal attack, and concluded the nomination ceremony.

Power of Veto Competition

Source: Global TV

On Day 57, the houseguests participated in this Baywatch inspired Power of Veto competition. According to Big Brother Network, “The houseguests must first find the dummies in their color. Then, they must then untie their buoy, climb over the wall, and rescue their dummies. They must take their five dummies back to the beach one at a time. After they save all of their dummies, they must dig in the sand to find their puzzle pieces, and complete their surfboard puzzle. The first HouseGuest to complete their puzzle will win the Power of Veto, as well as a special screening of “Baywatch”.”  During the challenge, Ika began helping Demetres find his dummies. The couple’s joint attempt still fell short with Kevin winning the Power of Veto competition. He asked Dillon and Karen to join him for the movie.

Power of Veto Ceremony

Karen and Dillon intended on sending Ika to the jury house, which went against Kevin’s initial plan. When you think about it from this perspective, Demetres and Dillon are the biggest threats against Kevin. Once Kevin caught wind of Karen and Dillon’s motives, he devised a very strategic move. During the Power of Veto Ceremony, Ika took another jab at Kevin during her speech. In a surprise turn of events, Kevin used the Power of Veto on Ika, and renominated Dillon in her place. .

Live Eviction

After the Power of Veto Ceremony, the house was in complete shock. Kevin was still set on sending Demetres packing. Rookie, Karen, was in a tough position. Her close ally Dillon is now on the block with her buddy Demetres. Rather than causing a tie vote, which would leave everything up to Kevin, Karen made a decision to cast a vote against her buddy Dillon. Unfortunately, Dillon’s game was cut right before the final four.

Come back later this week to discuss the finale!

See you tomorrow,

Up until last week, the newbies were calling the shots in the BBCAN Odyssey, picking off veterans one at a time. This week, in a shocking turn of events, newbies Jackie, Dre, and William were sent packing during a live triple eviction. For the full story, check out the summary below.

Head of Household

Source: Global TV

Following Bruno’s eviction, the title of Head of Household was up for grabs once again. This week, the houseguests participated in the Pressed for Power competition. The rules were simple: each houseguest will press their weights against a metal plate at their individual weight stations. Once a plate is dropped, the houseguest is eliminated. The last person standing wins HoH for the week. One by one, the houseguests dropped like flies, leaving Dre, Kevin, and William remaining in the challenge. Kevin wins after William and Dre drop out the competition. In return, Kevin offered the duo safety for the week.

Nominations

Demetres and Ika began questioning Dre’s loyalty after the HoH competition. It didn’t take long for them to figure out that Dre took Kevin’s deal when dropping out the competition. Fearing for their safety, Ika works around the clock to keep herself and Demetres off the block. With little to no luck, she begins sabotaging her own game by picking fights with everyone in the house. Ika is confident that Demetres can actually win the game if he stays over her. While all this chaos is transpiring, Karen attempts to fix her relationship with Kevin. Now, we all know that their relationship hasn’t been the best, but Kevin is considering taking Karen to the final for obvious reasons. During the nomination ceremony, Kevin targets the power couple, Demetres and Ika, and nominates them for eviction.

Power of Veto Competition

Kevin, Demetres, Ika, Dillon, Dre, and Jackie competed in the Toyota Triathlon Power of Veto competition. According to Global TV, each houseguests will hop inside their car and read from a teleprompter. At the blanks, they must say the requested information based on the information they learned from previous weeks in the house. Once finished, they must race along the track and place the signs in the order they were said based on a commercial featuring Nick and Phil Paquette (Winners of BBCAN4). Then, they must use their pieces to complete the final puzzle. The houseguest that can complete their tasks in the shortest time will win the Power of Veto. With a time of eleven minutes and fifty five seconds, Demetres won the Power of Veto.

Power of Veto Ceremony

After speaking with Dre, Ika tries to convince Demetres to consider using the Power of Veto on her instead of the obvious choice, himself. Clearly, that plan was a waste of time, leaving Ika back to the drawing board. Their best option for Ika to stay is to get Jackie on the block. At the Power of Veto Ceremony, Demetres used the Veto on himself as planned, and Kevin named Jackie is the replacement nominee.

Now that Ika and Jackie are on the block, the houseguests had a tough decision to make. They could either keep Jackie, who has been flip flopping the entire game, or Ika who has a great manipulative social game. Ultimately, the house made a surprising decision by evicting Jackie in a four to one vote.

Shortly after the live vote, host Arisa Cox called the houseguests back to the living room for an announcement. Arisa revealed that two more houseguests would leave in a triple eviction.

Head of Household

After the announcement, the houseguests went to the backyard to compete in the Big Brother Headlines Head of Household competition. The remaining houseguests were asked a series of questions based on previous competitions and events. An incorrect answer resulted in elimination, with the last houseguest standing winning Head of Household. After a few questions, Dillon and Demetres were the only two hosueguests left in the competition. Demetres beat out Dillon in the end, winning HoH yet again.

Nominations

During the live nomination ceremony, Demetres put Dre, Kevin, and William up for eviction.

Power of Veto

The remaining houseguests, with the exception of Demetres, competed in the Off the Blocks Power of Veto competition. In this competition, each houseguest must race down to a ball pit. According to Global TV, they must find the names of houseguests who were taken off the block with the Power of Veto. Then, the names have to be taken back one at a time to their puzzle boards. The first houseguest to complete their puzzle board correctly wins the Power of Veto. In the end, Kevin was victorious and won the Power of Veto for himself.

Power of Veto Ceremony

Kevin used the Power of Veto on himself, forcing Demetres to put up Dillon in his place. The final nominees were Dillon, Dre, and William.

The safe houseguests including, Ika, Karen, and Kevin came together in their decision by voting to save Dillon from eviction, sending Dre and William out the house.

Predictions

Now, that we are down to five houseguests remaining, the game is up for grabs. I would hope that Demetres or Ika make it to the final two, but I really don’t see that happening. Karen is a lock in for final two, since anyone would be able to beat her in the end. We will see how things play out this week.

Big Brother Canada 5: Week Seven

For a third consecutive week, we saw another veteran meet their demise. On Day forty eight, season three vet, Bruno, was evicted from the BBCAN Odyssey. At the beginning of the week, Bruno was in a tough situation. Getting nominated with your best friend, Kevin, is never easy. Once the Secret Power of Veto was used however, Bruno was working around the clock against replacement nominee Karen. Unfortunately, Bruno and Kevin couldn’t convince the house to flip, and was sent packing on a five to one vote. With that being said, let’s see how the week played out below.

Head of Household

Source: Global TV

After Sindy’s live eviction, the remaining houseguests participated in multiple rounds of the Get Moving Head of Household competition. As part of the first round, each houseguest will transfer one hundred and fifty rocks across their lane. The first four houseguests (Bruno, Demetres, Karen, and Kevin) to finish will advance to the second round.  In the second round, houseguests are required to paddle one hundred and fifty strokes in their kayak. The first two houseguests (Bruno and Demetres) to complete 150 strokes will move on to the final round. For the final round, the two remaining competitors will race around the clock to toss six beanbags into the hole, land six discs into the target, and bowl a strike. The first houseguest to complete this tasks will become the new Head of Household. With a two second difference, Demetres beats Bruno, claiming the title of Head of Household for the week.

Nominations

For the last couple of weeks, the newbies, including Dre, Dillon, Jackie, Karen, and William have banded together to play both sides of the house. Knowing that they are in hot water this week, Bruno and Kevin devise a plan to get back on Ika’s good side, since she has a lot of pull with her showmance partner, Demetres. Kevin, well aware of the newbie alliance, tries to convince Demetres to target them, especially Jackie. Ika, not trusting Kevin and Bruno’s motives, were not convinced. Jackie becoming paranoid, confronts Kevin and Bruno about their conversation with Ika and Demetres. Jackie feeling betrayed, goes and throws Kevin and Bruno completely under the bus to Ika and Demteres, revealing their secret “Peasants” alliance. With that information, Ika spills all the information to Dre and William, adding more fuel to the fire. At the nomination ceremony, Demetres stuck with his gut feeling and put Bruno and Kevin on the block.

Power of Veto Competition

Demetres, Bruno, Kevin, Ika, William, and Dre participated in the 100 Minutes of Heaven Power of Veto competition. In separate coffins, each participant will lay down and hit their button once a hundred minutes has passed. The houseguest that is the closest to one hundred minutes will win the Power of Veto. Ika, being terrified of rodents, eliminated herself during the challenge. After Ika left, William buzzed in first, followed by Kevin, Demetres, Bruno, and Dre. The houseguest that buzzed in the closest to one hundred minutes was William, winning two Power of Vetos for the week. Remember that secret veto he won last week?

Power of Veto Ceremony

Since Gary’s eviction, Kevin has been working his “Boy toy” William. Having strong feelings for Kevin, William is very conflicted in his decision. Ika, Demetres, and Dre do not want William to use the veto on Kevin. However, William wants to keep Kevin safe at any cost, even if it impacts his safety in the game. At the Power of Veto Ceremony, William decided to keep nominations the same. However, the “Secret” Veto was used on Kevin. Demetres put up Karen as the replacement nominee.

Live Eviction

While Kevin has been working to secure votes to keep Bruno safe, Karen has been putting the final nail in her coffin. Since going up on the block, Karen has been completely paranoid and defensive with everyone. As a result, some of the houseguests have been contemplating voting her out instead. However, during the live eviction, everyone stuck to their initial plan and sent Bruno packing.

Predictions

Source: Global TV

At the end of the week, Arisa revealed that next week is a triple eviction. Yes, triple eviction! Three houseguests will be leaving the game. It’s not looking good for our two remaining veterans, Ika and Kevin. Depending on who wins HoH this upcoming week, I could see Kevin, Ika, and Demetres getting taken out during the live vote. We have to wait and see how next week plays out!

Big Brother Canada 5: Week Six

April 25, 2017

Filed Under : Reality TV - This & That

Source: Global TV

The word irony is a complete understatement of what has transpired in the BBCAN Odyssey. After backdooring Neda during the surprise double eviction episode last week, Sindy found herself in a sticky situation. Dillon the surviving nominee from the previous live eviction, won Head of Household for the week. Once the Power of Veto was used on one of the nominees, Dillon made a game changing decision by naming Sindy as the replacement nominee. By eviction night, the house was unified in their decision and sent Sindy packing. Find out how it all went down below!

Head of Household

Source: Global TV

The remaining houseguests, minus Sindy (The previous HoH), competed in the BUZZKILLED competition. As soon as the buzzer goes off, each houseguest hits their button. The last houseguest to ring in gets eliminated. The last houseguest standing becomes the new Head of Household. After a few rounds, the challenge came down to Bruno, Dillon, Dre, and William. Dillon offered the remaining houseguests safety for the week if they forfeit the challenge. Bruno, Dre, and William agreed, and allowed Dillon to win HoH.

Nominations

Dillon still holding Jackie accountable for flip flopping throughout the game, plans on making her the target for the week. He plans on using Demetres as a pawn. If the POV is used, Dillon will renominate a veteran instead. After conversing with his new Emily 2.0 partner, Karen, Dillon has Kevin and Sindy on his radar as potential replacement nominees. At the nomination ceremony, Dillon followed through with his plans and put up Jackie against Demetres.

Power of Veto Competition

Source: Global TV

Dillon, Demetres, Jackie, Ika, Sindy, and William participated in the Out of Orbit Power of Veto competition. Each houseguest has to roll their ball up and around a looped infrastructure and catch it on the other side, completing one rotation. If the ball is dropped, they start over. The first person to complete three hundred consecutive rotations will win the Power of Veto. The challenge came down to Demetres and Dillon. Near the end of the challenge, Dillon’s ball fell off the infrastructure, bringing him back to zero. Demetres continued and was rewarded with the Power of Veto once he hit three hundred rolls.

Secret Veto

Source: Global TV

Dillon called a house meeting, as instructed by Big Brother. Their task was to clean the house from head to toe. While cleaning, William found a clue regarding a secret power. After following a series of clues, William found a secret Power of Veto. He has the option to use the power at one of the next two veto meetings.

Power of Veto Ceremony

Kevin and Bruno tried their best to convince Dillon to put up Ika as a renom, out of fear that Sindy will be targeted instead. Their goal was to get Queen Ika on the block instead. Unfortunately, their plan did not go as expected. Once Demetres used the Power of Veto on himself, Sindy was named as the replacement nominee by Dillon.

Live Eviction

Source: Global TV

Sindy tried her best to save herself from eviction, but ultimately, the house viewed her as a bigger threat than Jackie. Her season three alliance members, Bruno and Kevin, couldn’t rally enough votes to save her. By a vote of six to one, Sindy became the seventh houseguest evicted from the game, leaving three veterans remaining.

Predictions

Source: Global TV

I foresee the newbies sticking together for the next couple of weeks. Now that Bruno and Kevin are officially on the outs, there best bet is to get the house to flip on Ika and Demetres. Since Kevin is romantically linked with William, he has a better chance of staying than Bruno. Since William has this secret power, he may be saving Kevin from the block. Only time will tell.
