WIWT: Shades of Red

If you follow me on any of my Social Media account, you will notice that I have incorporated a lot of red into my summer wardrobe. Why? Typically, I’m a sucker for everything yellow. However, I wanted to switch up this season with another color palette. So, red was on my mind. Today, I paired this cranberry colored blazer with a floral print graphic tee from ASOS and these newly distressed skinny jeans from American Eagle. The color gives a bit of raw edge, which is perfect for summer. I also purchased two other tops in this color, and I can’t wait to wear them. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Outfit of the Week

I was recently inspired by this printed bomber jacket look over at Forever21, and I couldn’t wait to create something similar. As you can see above, I styled this Gucci, floral print bomber jacket with a short sleeve graphic tee and distressed denim shorts. Remember, jackets and shorts can be a hit or miss. WIWT: Acid Wash Jacket

Every once in a while, I put my creative talents to some good use by experimenting on my old clothes. There’s nothing wrong with adding a little originality to your wardrobe. With that being said, I decided to show off my latest DIY project, the acid wash denim jacket. To clarify, I purchased the jacket from H&M for $20. With the help of my handy dandy spray bottle, a lot of bleach, and some water, I was able to create this retro looking effect. Looks good, right? The jacket looks amazing when worn with a pair of denim jeans, as shown above. I further styled my look with a longline sweater and suede chelsea boots. As you can see, this outfit is the epitome of spring layering. The retro inspired jacket can be worn on a sunny or gloomy day. Just in case it get’s a little warm, you can always tie the shirt around your waist for that 90s skater look. Plus, the brightly colored t-shirt looks good with or without any accessory. To top it off, check out these shiny, old school slip-on Vans sneakers. They are really futuristic looking, right? So, how do you feel about this particular look?
