Happy September folks! It’s Labor Day weekend, and you know what that means…festival season is finally dwindling down. Made in America is back in Philly this weekend. So, all the kiddies are out getting intoxicated in 90 degree weather, listening to a plethora of great music. Meanwhile, I’m being my usual weird self, putting together festival looks, with no intentions of actually going out. If I were to attend a music festival though, this is what I would wear. My summer staple, the Hawaiian button-up shirt is perfect for any event. With such a bold print, the shirt looks great with a pair of distressed denim jeans. I actually went with a pair of grey denim jeans from ASOS. Finishing off, I went with my low top Chuck Taylors. Classic, right? So, how do you feel about this particular look? Happy Labor Day Weekend,

#WIWT Summer Wedding Suit

What I’m Wearing
Suit | Shirt | Shoes

Happy Hump Day! As mentioned in a previously post found here, I had the honor of being a groomsmen in my friend Reggie’s wedding. I flew out to Durham, North Carolina last Friday, with my suit tightly packed in my carry-on book bag. Here is an example of how to rock that well folded suit. So, How did you manage to pack an entire suit in a book bag Bryce? To be completely transparent, I watched a ton of youtube videos on how to fold a suit for travel. Luckily, I stumbled across this video found here, which really did the trick. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the suit arrived to my home folded in a cardboard box? We rented our suits from The Black Tux, a on-line fashion company that specializes in suits and tuxedos. The suits were mailed out two weeks before the wedding. Since the suit arrived a tad wrinkled, I had no problem refolding it for travel. Before the wedding, I had a day to release the wrinkles with a little shower steam.

Okay, so that was a mouthful. Now, let’s talk about the suit. As you know, lighter weight fabrics are the best way to go for summer. This particular suit was light enough for a humid, afternoon. You know that down south heat is a different type of beast too! Rather than neckties, the groom accessorized us with pink polka-dot bow-ties and pocket squares, which were heavily influenced by the summer’s soft color palette. Light shades of blue, green, and yellow also complement a grey suit quite well. Overall, I loved this particular suit. I felt straight out of a 007 movie. #WIWT Polo Shirt

What I’m Wearing
Polo Shirt | Jeans | Sandals

Who knew that I would be wearing polo shirts well into my thirties? I mean, let’s be honest here, I ‘ve been rocking this particular trend since high school. Needless to say, polo shirts really haven’t gone out of style since then. All that’s really changed is the print though! Over ten years ago, most of your everyday polos were solid colors and worn a tad oversized. In 2018, things have gotten a bit fitted and more eccentric. That being said, today I decided to step out in my newly purchased tropical print short sleeve polo shirt from ASOS. Created a light weight microfiber material, this shirt is completely sweat absorbent. No damp armpits here! Here I styled my polo with a pair of black skinny jeans and grey suede sandals. You can never go wrong with a pair of dark skinnies, right? So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Peace,

#WIWT Printed Shirt

What I’m Wearing
Printed Shirt | Denim Shorts | Sneakers

I love a good printed shirt, just as much as I love a deal. Most of my printed shirts are from the thrift store. Why? Well, I never pay anything over $5, in contrast to most retail stores that sell them for $25 and up. Needless to say, I have quite a few hanging in my closet. That being said, I decided to get some wear and tear out this rarely worn, short sleeve printed shirt. Made in silk material, this shirt is perfect for a humid afternoon. It’s flowy and breathable without being super flimsy. Let’s not forget to mention the print itself, simple yet sophisticated. I further styled this shirt with a pair of cut-off denim jeans (I cut these myself) and my newly purchased Adidas Primeknit Sock summer sneakers. For quite some time, I’ve been dying to find a pair, and ASOS had them on sale for $55! So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

See Ya,
