The black on black trend is like a winter staple, and will most likely, never go out of style. I was obsessed with my black outfits last year, but this one in particular hit the spot! A super long overcoat worn with a thick waffle sweater and pinstripe pants got me feeling like a super hero from 2002. Think Blade, meets Static Shock, minus all the leather. I remember back in high school, there was a weird bias towards anyone that wore all black. Emo, goth, or suicidal, just to name a few. You were almost treated like a social outcast. Almost fifteen years later, the black on black trend is a necessity. Nowadays, you have to wear a denim or leather jacket with a graphic tee to be down with the cool kids. If you don’t believe me, check out the fit above. Luckily, it’s 2020 and not 2005. The all black trend is very safe this time around. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Swap out all your winter favorites for something a little more relaxed like a matching, co-ord set! Comfortable, yet trendy, the matching set can be dressed up or down depending on your current vibe. For instance, I always keep things simple by pairing my matching set with a pair of sneakers. Add a long overcoat, and you’re ready to stroll like the celebs. As you know, I’m a pretty big fan of overcoats and Netflix original content like my all time favorite show, Stranger Things. It’s a weird combination I know, but they seem to go together quite well. Since it’s winter, my main priority is to stay warm. For extra warmth, throw on your Stranger Things graphic tee, and wool tartan pants.
