How to Update a Soccer Jersey this Summer

August 31, 2021

What I’m Wearing
Jersey | Shorts | Sneakers

Confession: I’m not the soccer player in my family, my older brother is the sibling that claims that title. Don’t get me wrong though, I can appreciate anyone that can run up and down a field non-stop for hours on end. It just wasn’t for me. I have no problem wearing soccer paraphernalia though! Today, I decided to put some good use to this thrifted soccer jersey I picked up at the Goodwill. We all know that yellow is my all time favorite color. So, it should come to no surprise that this jersey was going home with me. In terms of styling, I kept it casual in my big, white shorts and Vans sneakers. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free and share in the comments section below.

Take care,

How to Thrift an Entire Outfit Part 4

It’s the last part of this series, and I’m going out with a banger. Today, I paired together an oversized, double-breasted sportscoat with these super high waisted athletic shorts. Once again, it’s a look! Want to know the cost? $10! A steal, right? That’s what happens when you catch the Goodwill on one of those random, color discount days. Check out the full details below:

OUTFIT #4

The Double-Breasted Sportscoat

Summer 2021 is the perfect time to build up your blazer or sportscoat collection. Rather than spending a crap load of money on retail prices, save a few dollars at the Goodwill. Most of their suit jackets have yet to be worn, with the original price tag still in place. After purchasing, make sure you get them dry cleaned before wearing.

Shorts

Not much to say here folks, but these shorts are super comfortable. Their lightweight material keeps my thighs cool during those humid summer afternoons. Plus, they were only $2.

I hope I was able to provide some thrifted inspiration. Be on the lookout for other secondhand looks this summer!

How to Thrift an Entire Outfit Part 3

Dressing down business or formal attire is a lot easier than it sounds. Think minimalistic, yet stylish at the same time. I, for one, love combining blazers, sweaters, and waistcoats with t-shirts and tanks. Lets take it a step further by showing more skin than expected. I know you’ve seen me rock a suit without a shirt before. It’s a look! Check out how I dressed down business attire with a waistcoat and a pair of dress pants below:

OUTFIT #3

The Floral Printed Waistcoat

Fellas, ditch your dress shirt, and join in on all the bear chested fun this season. Luckily, I found this printed waistcoat at the Goodwill for $4. With its lightweight material and floral print, there’s no way I could pass up on going shirtless.

Dress Pants

I lucked up and found these high waisted, oversized dress pants hanging on a rack. Rather than paying $50 to $100 retail price, I spent $8.  What a steal! Plus, these pants were already tailored to my liking. No alterations needed today!

Part four coming soon!

Enjoy,

Hawaiian shirts and denim shorts are one of my favorite pairings this season. Whether you prefer baggy or slim fit, you’ll have many options to chose from at the thrift store. I can usually put an entire outfit together for under $10. $10? Yes, it’s that cheap! Here’s how all the cool kids are thrifting this look below:

OUTFIT #2

The Hawaiian Shirt

Not only can you wear a Hawaiian shirt during any occasion, they’re super versatile (Tuck in for a retro fit or leave it out to elongate your torso)! Plus, you can find one in every color! Before they sell out, make sure you stop by the Goodwill and grab a few!

The Denim Shorts

If you’re a 90s type of guy like myself, denim shorts are the perfect staple. Similar to the Hawaiian shirt, the Goodwill has the best options with a variety of washes. Make sure you grab two or three pairs before the crowd catches on.

Part three coming soon!
