Music Monday: Cleaning the House

July 30, 2018

Happy Monday! Not sure what’s been going on with me lately, but I’ve been in the cleaning spirit. Every day when I come home from work, I’m scrubbing something. Not saying that I wasn’t clean before, but even the smallest amount of dust has been catching my eye. As I go through these cleaning binges, I love listening to relaxing music. That being said, check out my playlist below:

  1. “La Brea,” Alex Isley
  2. “Luv U,” BOSCO
  3. “Imperfect Circle,” Jorja Smith
  4. “Distraction,” RAYE
  5. “Sunset,” Slaudin
  6. “Say What You Mean,” Sinead Harnett
  7. “Wife You Up,” Russ
  8. “How U Want It,” Rochelle Jordan
  9. “Kisses,” Reva DeVito
  10. “The Wonder Years,” Jesse Boykins III

Music Monday: Sounds Like the 90s

June 4, 2018

Happy Monday! Yesterday, I was shuffling through my Itunes music playlists and made a fun discovery. There are so many songs out there that sound very reminiscent of 90s r&b and hip-hop. I can’t believe I didn’t realize this until now! Of course, there are a few sampled tracks here and there, but the 90s is well alive in 2018. THat being said, I decided to create this 90s sounding playlist with some of our favorite artists. So, when you get a chance,  check out the playlist below:

  1. “Finesse (Remix) [feat. Cardi B],” Bruno Mars
  2. “No Sleep,” Janet Jackson
  3. “Searchin,” Sonder
  4. “Love you Better (Feat. Chris Brown),” King Combs
  5. “Diddy Bop (feat. Raury & Cam O’bi,” Noname
  6. “Nice for What,” Drake
  7. “Wake Me Up (Feat. Lil’ Kim),” Remy Ma
  8. “Land of the Free,” Joey Bada$$
  9. “Meditation (Feat. Jazmine Sulivan),” GoldLink
  10. “Back in the Day,” Rochelle Jordan

Happy Monday everyone! So, I’m back again with another #MusicMonday post. This time, I decided to create a playlist around some of my favorite songs from those late 90s to early 2000s days. Clearly, I was in middle school around then, hence the title. For the record, my parents had no idea I was listening to all this mature music. So, when you get a chance,  check out the playlist below:

  1. “No More,” 3LW
  2. “Ride Wit Me,” Nelly, City Spud
  3. “No Scrubs,” TLC
  4. “Get Ur Freak On,” Missy Elliott
  5. “What’s It Gonna Be?!,” Busta Rhymes, Janet Jackson
  6. “You Make Me Wanna…,” Usher
  7. “The Boy is Mine,” Brandy
  8. “Back That Azz Up,” Juvenile
  9. “Quiet Storm – Remix,” Mobb Deep
  10. “Good Times,” Styles P
  11. “Thong Song,” Sisqo
