Surprise! We are less than two weeks away from Halloween, and a purple sea monster taken over Building 611  at Philadelphia’s Navy Yard. Creepy, right?! On Monday, October 8th, this huge inflatable structure was unveiled to the public, to a full crowd of eager spectators. Twenty, forty foot long, purple tentacles were created and installed by a well-known UK street art duo, Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas, who were commissioned by Group X. As shown above, each tentacle is bursting out of windows, while “squirming” in the wind. I had an opportunity to check out the structure yesterday, and I have to say, it was truly amazing. Since I love everything monster related, this was a big deal for me.
