Naturall Club: The Avocado Collection

February 11, 2020

Hey everyone, and welcome back! Today, I am sharing my recent collaboration with the Naturall Club. I received six products from their full Avocado collection, found here.  Naturall Club? Yes! Naturall Club is a black owned business that specializes in creating cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, and natural ingredients for ethnic hair.

Now that you have a little history on Naturall Club, let’s get down to business! I received the products earlier this month, and couldn’t wait to test them out. Since I pushed past my usual wash day, the avocado collection couldn’t come at a better time! I put together this fun youtube video describing my experience. Please view below:

Packaging

The unpackaging process was very straight forward. After receiving the box, I began taking out each product one by one. Unfortunately, the shampoo bottle cap was cracked, with some of the product soiling the box. No problem though! I threw away the box, and cleaned the shampoo bottle with warm water.

Value

If you have a chance to visit Naturall Club’s website, the Avocado Collection has been marked down to $75. It’s original price was $94. That’s way cheaper than purchasing each item individually. So, if it was up to me, I would save a few extra dollars and purchase the full collection.

Before diving in head first make sure you use their products in the following order:

Cleansing Avocado Shampoo
The Good: The shampoo was a hit for me. I thoroughly enjoyed using it.
The Bad: Nothing bad!

Hydrating Avocado Conditioner
The Good: The conditioner was thick enough for my tight curls. I really liked how my hair smelled as I finger combed.
The Bad: Nothing bad!

Apply Avocado Deep Conditioner
The Good: It had a different smell to it, which I liked
The Bad: I was expecting more from the package. There was only enough for one deep condition session. In addition, I felt a burning sensation when left in my hair.

Nourishing Leave-in Conditioner
The Good: As all the other products, the leave-in condition smelled really good.
The Bad: I was expecting a thicker solution for my hair.

Comb Curl Custard
The Good: It was on the lighter side, which didn’t over power the leave in conditioner. Also, there were no flakes when dried.
The Bad: Nothing bad!

Pure Avocado Oil
The Good: Although it was a little sticky as expected, I really liked its overall consistency.
The Bad: Nothing bad

Overall

On a grading scale, I would give this collection an A for effort and execution. The Naturall Club really aims to provide affordable, natural products that smell amazing. To be fair, I don’t have the slightest clue about many natural hair companies. However, this one definitely hit the spot. My curls were very moisturized and loose.

Have you tried any items from the Naturall Club’s Avocado Collection? If so, how did everything work out for you? Please, share in the comments section below!

Thanks,

#WIWT Soccer Dad Fit

February 6, 2020

What I’m Wearing
Jacket| T-Shirt| Pants | Sneakers

If someone told that in in the future I would be a soccer dad, I’d say, “No freaking way!” My life is pretty simple right, but adding a family to the mix would be pretty interesting, yet pretty darn cool. I can see it now, it’s Saturday morning and my routine is set for the day. Make breakfast, hop in the family SUV, grab all the kids for the game, and off to the fields we go! Clearly, I have a slight issue with idealization, but it doesn’t hurt to dream big! In the event that this becomes a reality, I need to start preparing for my future wardrobe like yesterday. Today, I put together this “I’m headed to the kid’s game” fit. As a future soccer dad, I plan to maintain a minimal lifestyle, nothing too flashy or over the top, yet I’m still cool enough to get featured in one of those fancy street style magazines. To this point, my soccer dad attire is conveniently equipped with a zipped up jacket, a random t-shirt, and of course, yesterday’s work pants. Who has time to throw on jeans when your favorite work pants are folded right in front of you? To top it off, the dirty Chucks are must! They absorb grass stains quite well. So, how do you feel about my soccer dad fit? Feel free and share in the comments section below.

Happy Friday,

Lifestyle: The Comfort Zone

February 4, 2020

Filed Under : Celebrations - Life

You would think after seven years of blogging, I would be like to step outside my comfort zone more frequently. Unfortunately, I too can get very complacent. Not across the board, but definitely with my work though. Bryce Lennon, you are such a driven person, what gives? What can I say? We all have our weak spots. Yes, I’m a man of structure and routines. However, complacency tends to creep in at some of the most unsuspecting times.

To this point, I recently stepped outside of my comfort zone with UnregisteredStyle and curated “The Love Experience,” an editorial project that features dynamic couples in love. You can find the first post here.

Great work Bryce Lennon, but how does this relate to stepping outside of your comfort zone? Simple! For one, I have yet to coordinate a fashion related project with ten people or more, until now. Don’t get me wrong, I had my reservations at first. Working with one model is challenging enough. Add a few more, let alone nine, chaos will ensue. Plus, I had to deal with cancellations and accommodating everyone’s hectic schedule. No bueno!

So, why add more stress? Ultimately, it came down to my subconscious itch to grow. Although the quality of my work has improved over the years, fear was holding me back from reaching my full potential. So, I had to step outside of my comfort zone, and make things happen. Best decision ever. I’m going to let you be the judge on that one though.

Be on the look out for more tidbits from the Love Experience throughout the month of February, and thank you for being a listening ear today. It really means a lot (Now that was really outside my comfort zone 🙂 )

Thanks for listening,

-Bryce Lennon
