Events: Sea Monsters HERE

Surprise! We are less than two weeks away from Halloween, and a purple sea monster taken over Building 611  at Philadelphia’s Navy Yard. Creepy, right?! On Monday, October 8th, this huge inflatable structure was unveiled to the public, to a full crowd of eager spectators. Twenty, forty foot long, purple tentacles were created and installed by a well-known UK street art duo, Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas, who were commissioned by Group X. As shown above, each tentacle is bursting out of windows, while “squirming” in the wind. I had an opportunity to check out the structure yesterday, and I have to say, it was truly amazing. Since I love everything monster related, this was a big deal for me. If you live in the Philly area, be sure to check out #navyyardseamonster at Flagship Avenue and 13th Street before the creature heads back into the water on November 16th.

Have Fun,

#WIWT Color-Block Shirt

What I’m Wearing
Shirt | Jeans | Shoes

Who said color-blocking was just a summer trend? Today, I decided to break out my newly purchased color-block t-shirt from ASOS. The shirt’s bold white stripes in combination with the navy sleeves, and warm color palette add for a nice contrast don’t you think? I certainly do! Having said that, I styled my shirt with a pair of skinny moto jeans from H&M. This is actually my second time wearing these jeans, and they fit quite well considering they were purchased three years ago. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

See Ya,

Travel: Hertford, NC

Random trips to see the rents always bring a smile to my face. Give me a full day of Mom’s home cooked meals and Dad’s fun stories, and I just can’t get enough. Can someone just invent a small teleportation device that transports me to them at least once a week because this driving back and forth thing is a little exhausting. Don’t get me wrong, six and a half hours is not too bad. However, the drive can get a little overwhelming, especially on a three day trip. That’s 13 hours in a car, but hey…they are worth it! 🙂

Friday after work, I hopped in my car and took a trip to see my parents in Hertford, NC. Now, I haven’t been down there since April, so this trip was way overdue! As soon as I got there, I received a warm greeting from the rents, and they took me over to their favorite local restaurant for dinner. It was really delicious (No sure if I was caught up in the positive vibes or I was just hungry though)! I think I ordered a tuna wrap. You know I love a  good wrap!

Back at the crib, Mom, of course, had some new decor to show off for the house. I guess she was going for a Moroccan theme, because everything is so exotic, yet elegant. All the shades of red, orange, and yellow really set off the warm color palette. She always does a great job (She thinks she is a little interior designer 🙂 )!

Overall, I had a great weekend with the fam. It was so relaxing and fun! So much peace and quiet. I love my life here in New Jersey though, and had to get back to the real world.

Catch you later in the week,

#WIWT SWEATSUIT

October 3, 2018

What I’m Wearing
Sweatshirt | Joggers | Sneakers

In my many years of blogging, I have come across a few pieces that are 100% comfortable. Take for instance, the cotton sweatsuit. Worn fitted or baggy, this fun trend can be worn practically anywhere. The gym, supermarket, sports bars, and the list continues. Why dress up when you can look great in your favorite athletic inspired apparel? Today, I decided to mix and match what I had in my closet, and the end result was a major success. The contrasting grey, embroidered sweatshirt works well with the black skinny joggers. Both pieces are from ASOS. I guess you can say I’m channeling my inner 19 year old self with these cotton separates. So, how do you feel about this particular outfit? Feel free to share in the comments section below.
