WIWT: Houndstooth Blazer

What I’m Wearing
Houndstooth Blazer: ASOS | Turtleneck: KOHLS | Pants: ASOS | Sneakers: ASOS

Happy Hump Day! So, I’m back this week on the blog to show off my latest #WIWT look. This week, it’s all about the houndstooth tweed blazer. Houndstooth? Yes, you know that fun pattern that literally looks like a canine’s tooth. Since I’ve been going for a baggy look, I paired my blazer with a grey turtleneck sweater and these drop crotch corduroy pants. Yet again, I look straight out of an 80s movie, but that’s what I’m going for these days. I’m also really digging this dark to light contrast. Since the blazer and turtle neck are in the same color family, the sandy bottoms spice it up a bit. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Music Monday: Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles soared to victory with their first ever Super Bowl championship, and I couldn’t get enough of it! Since the City of Brotherly love is like my second home, I was completely glued to my television screen. To be honest, I haven’t kept up with NFL statistics in years, but that still doesn’t take away from my excitement for the win. That being said, I put together this little playlist in honor of this special occasion. I even through in a track from one of my personal favorites, Justin Timberlake, since he was the headliner during the half time show. So, when you get a chance, check out a few songs from the playlist below:

  1. “Gonna Fly Now,” Bill Conti
  2. “Streets of Philadelphia,” Bruce Springsteen
  3. “What We Do,” Freeway
  4. “Flipside,” Freeway
  5. “Dreams and Nightmares,” Meek Mill
  6. “We Are the Champions,” Queen
  7. “Champions,” Kanye West
  8. “Filthy,” Justin Timberlake
  9. “All Star,” Smash Mouth

Secondhand Sunday

What I’m Wearing
Sweatshirt: Thrifted | Coat: ASOS | Pants: H&M | Shoes: Vans

Hey everyone! I decided to get a head start on the week with a new Secondhand Sunday post! If there’s one thing I love about the winter, it’s an oversized sweatshirt. I purchased this sweatshirt at my local Goodwill sometime last season. I love wearing it with other baggy items like my worker worker slacks. These pants are typical worn with dress shoes, but I decided to switch it up with my velcro Vans sneakers. Since it’s freezing outside, I had to throw on my newly purchased overcoat from ASOS. It’s so comfortable! Overall, this look is giving me a 1980s, Trading Places vibe. Remember that movie with Eddie Murphy?! Perhaps, you don’t, but it’s still a good point of reference. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

Enjoy work tomorrow,
