WIWT: Festival Cape

What I’m Wearing
Cape: ASOS | Tee: ASOS | Jeans: ASOS | Boots: ASOS

The woven festival cape, aka the Poncho, is one of the most in-demand items this season. Regarded as the ultimate statement piece, the festival cape will keep your body warm and comfortable, as it can be worn both indoors and outdoors. Today, I decided to take my own advice and go with a bold option. The featured navy and white festival cape may seem like an odd choice. However, it completely gets the job done! It’s thick, woven fabric has proven full durability. Plus, it looks rather sleek when worn with an all black ensemble. So, how do you feel about this particular look? What I’m Wearing
Military Jacket: ASOS |Shirt: GAP | Jeans: River Island | Boots: ASOS

It’s no secret that green is one of my favorite colors this season. So, what’s better than an army green military jacket? More army green military jackets! Here, I decided to pair it with a solid color white tee and distressed skinny jeans. For the record, the jacket’s faded green color adds a nice rugged touch to a few simple pieces. The other big eye catcher in this outfit comes from the suede, chelsea boots. Great color and texture, right? So, how do you feel about this particular look? What I’m Wearing
Tee: H&M | Jacket: ASOS | Jeans: River Island | Boots: ASOS

Before the official first day of fall, I decided to get a head start on one of my favorite trends, the monochromatic color scheme. Dressing in the same color family is one of the easiest ways to transition between seasons. Plus, it’s a great option if your clothes are still boxed up from last winter.Today, I decided to go along with this theme by dressing from head to toe in all black. As shown above, the entire outfit consists of a few simple pieces: 1) This Nirvana printed graphic tee; 2) My favorite distressed black skinny jeans; 3) These suede chelsea boots. For a little contrast, I decided to spice up things with this dark wash, zip-up jacket from ASOS. To be honest, I’ve been searching for a zip up denim jacket for months now, and of course ASOS had the perfect one! What a great way to kick off fall, right? What I’m Wearing
Denim Jacket: H&M (DIY) | Shirt: ASOS| Jeans: H&M (DIY)| Boots: ASOS

Every once in a while, I put my creative talents to some good use by experimenting on my old clothes. There’s nothing wrong with adding a little originality to your wardrobe. With that being said, I decided to show off my latest DIY project, the acid wash denim jacket. To clarify, I purchased the jacket from H&M for $20. With the help of my handy dandy spray bottle, a lot of bleach, and some water, I was able to create this retro looking effect. Looks good, right? The jacket looks amazing when worn with a pair of denim jeans, as shown above. I further styled my look with a longline sweater and suede chelsea boots. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Feel free to share in the comments section below.
