Outfit of the Week
Topcoat: Linea Holborn | Sweater: French Connection | Pants: Trouva

This is the perfect “Trying to hold on to my youth” type of outfit. First, you have the topcoat, which is long enough to keep your entire outfit a mystery. Then, you have that simple old crewneck sweater for all those long hours spent in the office. Next up, we have the ever so popular wool trousers, which all the youngsters are wearing these days. This outfit seems mildly mature for the most part, until you get to the footwear. The retro Chuck Taylors are like man’s best friend, especially if you were born before the new millennium. Stranger Things Season 2 has officially dropped on Netflix, just in time for Halloween. As expected, the nine episode season completely delivered. After binge watching the entire season, I truly felt like a member of the gang. That being said, I put together this nostalgic playlist with a few tunes from the series. Check out the full playlist listing below:

  1. “Thriller,” Michael Jackson
  2. “Twist of Fate,” Olivia Newton-John
  3. “Time After Time,” Cyndi Lauper
  4. “Ghostbusters,” Ray Parker, Jr.
  5. “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” Scorpions
  6. “Sunglasses at Night,” Corey Hart
  7. “When the Lights Go Out,” Naked Eyes
  8. “Break on Through,” The Doors

WIWT: Flannel Shirt Around the Waist

What I’m Wearing
Flannel Shirt: Ralph Lauren |Sweatshirt: ASOS | Jeans: H&M | Sneakers: Vans

I know the tied shirt around the waist look has been a little played for quite some time now, but it’s still super appealing to me. The 90s phenomena made such a comeback in 2013, that it was completely watered down the following year. Even still, I love tying an old flannel button-down over a simple solid color sweatshirt, as shown above. This is the perfect transitional outfit for layering, especially between seasons. I also believe that the customized distressed denim skinny jeans and Sk8 Hi Vans are my new favorite combo for the season. In conjunction with the shirt tied around the waist trend, this casual look is practical, yet stylish at the same time. So, how do you feel about this particular look? Outfit of the Week
Blazer: MANGO | Shirt: MANGO | Joggers: BOOHOO | Boots: Dolce & Gabbana

So, I was recently inspired by this old Autumn/Winter lookbook by ASOS. Of course, I had to recreate this look to show you how I styled it. As you can see, I kept it quite simple. I couldn’t resist including the navy herringbone blazer for a tailored, more masculine look. The denim shirt and cargo joggers help dress down the blazer a bit.
